A multidisciplinary photographer-artist, author and musician, David Law develops work focused on the gaze, presence and perception of image in the urban space. The Echo Waves / Echo Visions series offers a contemporary rereading of cultural icons through an immersive and vibrant pop art aesthetic. Each work rests on a mosaic construction made up of thousands of micro-graphic compositions. From a distance, the image reveals a recognizable figure, while up close it reveals a wealth of visual details. Each fragment acts as an “wave,” evoking the artistic universe of the subject represented. The creation process is long and demanding, requiring precision and mastery of graphic tools. A thorough study is conducted on colors, light and the overall harmony of the image. Everything is created in an original and independent manner.
