Velvet Machine brings together two timeless icons: the purity of the clean lines of a white collectible car and the natural elegance of a woman who seems to be one with her bodywork. Lying on the hood like a living sculpture, she transforms the automobile into a true object of desire, where metal becomes as soft as velvet.
The contrast between the deep black of the suit and the immaculate white of the vehicle creates a minimalist, luxurious, and decidedly contemporary composition. A work where automotive design meets the grace of the human body in a perfect balance.

I wanted the car to stop being a mere object and become a scene.
The subject does not own the car: she inhabits it. The curves of the hood respond to those of the body, until they form a single silhouette. This photograph speaks as much of freedom as of fascination, of speed as of contemplation.
