Description from the seller
A vivid interplay of neon strips that creates a dynamic visual network.
Acrylic on canvas. The unique piece is signed on the back and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
The painting is shipped rolled (without stretchers) to keep shipping affordable. Each work is made with high-quality materials and is finished with a protective, lightly glossy final varnish.
This painting is ideal for a frame of size 150x100x1.5 cm.
The depicted shadow-gap frame is for illustration purposes only.
All works by the artist are unique. They are handcrafted paintings created with various techniques. The photos are not edited, but slight color variations may occur due to photography. The cracks, nicks, ridges, and paint splatters are part of the painting style. They are not defects and are intentional as the artist desired.
Please note that in case of delivery damage a damage report must be made with the courier and photos of the package from the outside before opening, followed by photos of any damage to the artwork. Complaints submitted without such documentation will not be accepted.
Manuela Decker – Intuition and Abstraction
Manuela Decker (born 1973) is a contemporary German painter who lives and works in Osnabrück. As a self-taught artist, she has developed an unconventional, deeply emotional visual language that moves freely beyond academic constraints. Under the studio name Gallery M, she presents her works to an international audience.
Artistic profile & style
Manuela Decker’s works are associated with abstract expressionism and modern informal art. At the center of her work is the process of letting go. Her large-format acrylic paintings often arise impulsively and intuitively—driven by moments, moods, and the dynamics of color itself.
- Technique: She prefers working with acrylic paints, pastels, and texturing mixed media on canvas. The application of color is layered, sometimes boldly smeared, sometimes softly brushed or glazed. This gives her paintings a tactile depth.
- Contrasts: A recurring motif is the play with extreme opposites. In series such as “Better in black,” she contrasts deep, dark areas with sudden, luminous color explosions or minimalist lines. The imperfect and raw is deliberately staged as an aesthetic element.
Philosophy and intention
For Manuela Decker, art is an outlet for the inexpressible. She does not want to impose a fixed interpretation on the viewer, but to offer freedom for personal associations and feelings. Her art seeks dialogue with the subconscious.
She also shares this integrative, liberating approach as a creativity coach. Here she helps people unlock blockages through intuitive painting and discover their own inner image world.
