Grande Vaso Scultoreo, a vintage Murano glass vase in deep cobalt blue with an internal crushed-silver-leaf decoration, dating to 1960–1970, with an hourglass silhouette, dimensions 24 x 16 x 16 cm and a weight of 1.7 kg, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
Important and fascinating vintage Murano blown glass art vase, dating from the second half of the 20th century.
The vase stands out for its elegant hourglass/ampulla silhouette (with a trumpet-flared neck and globular body), entirely made in a deep, vibrant cobalt blue glass. The true peculiarity of the piece lies in the magnificent internal decoration: a richly submerged cascade of fragments of silver leaf, skillfully crushed and heat-embedded by the glass masters during blowing. This complex technique creates a three-dimensional argentous shimmer that recalls a starry sky or a galaxy.
The base features the typical pontil mark finished with heat, an unmistakable hallmark of Muranese craftsmanship.
Condition:
Excellent vintage condition. The glass is extraordinarily bright, perfectly intact, free from chipping, cracks, creases, or historical restorations. Ready to adorn modern interiors or high-level art glass collections.
