Crossfade investigates how visual memory is constructed through the overlap of gestures, colors and experiences. Inspired by graffiti language and the energy of the urban landscape, the work abandons figurative representation to explore a territory where abstraction becomes a reflection of movement, transformation and time.
With translucent layers, geometric shapes and gestural marks that continuously cross, the composition evokes a permanent transition between presence and absence. Just as the term that gives it its name, Crossfade suggests a gradual fusion between different states, where no image disappears completely before another takes its place. Each element remains as a vestige of the previous, creating a visual narrative in constant evolution.
The vibrant palette, marked by greens, blues and fluorescent accents, reinforces depth and rhythm, while the free strokes preserve the spontaneity characteristic of urban art. The result is a space where order and improvisation coexist, revealing the tension between technical control and the freedom of gesture.
More than an abstract composition, Crossfade proposes a reflection on how identities, places and memories transform over time. The work invites the observer to traverse its multiple layers, discovering new relationships with each glance and reminding that no narrative is static — all exist in a continuous state of transition.
