INWEIGHTLESS FOREST 130 is part of a series inspired by Magritte and contemporary surrealism.
This work is part of a series that sublimates the natural and the impossible into a single vision. In “Weightless Forest,” the trunks float without roots, stripped of the gravity that ties them to the ground. The landscape becomes the stage for the improbable: a forest that is not sustained by the laws of physics, but by the rules of imagination.
The reference to Magritte is not casual: like him, the artist invites us to contemplate a world where the ordinary becomes strange, and the impossible, evident. The trees suspended in the air force us to rethink the concept of what is organic and stable, while the chromatic play—with electric blues, incandescent reds and deep shadows—intensifies the dreamlike atmosphere.
This series poses essential questions: What happens when we take the weight off nature? Can weightlessness reveal another dimension of the landscape, one more emotional than physical? “Weightless Forest” is both a metaphor and a provocation, a visual liberation that defies logic to reveal a new poetic space.
“Weightless Forest” already evokes a powerful image: floating trees that challenge not only physics but also our perception of what a forest should be.
