Description from the seller

This exceptional pair of bronze parrot candle holders (set of two) is executed in a luxurious decorative style inspired by the grandeur of the late 19th century Napoleon III period, reflecting the richness and refinement of classical European interior arts.

Each sculpture features an elegantly modelled parrot surrounded by highly decorative botanical elements, including foliage, flowers, and ornamental plant motifs. The compositions are richly detailed and enhanced by a beautiful antique brown patina, which accentuates the depth, texture, and sculptural refinement of every surface.

The design is theatrical and exotic in character, evoking the atmosphere of curiosity cabinets, the elegance of Napoleon III decorative arts, and the bold aesthetic of Hollywood Regency and eclectic maximalist interiors. Together, the pair creates a strong symmetrical decorative presence with outstanding visual impact.

Each piece is mounted on an elegant black marble base, carefully selected to enhance the luxurious contrast between the deep bronze tones and the polished stone surface. The marble bases may show slight natural variations in color and veining, as they are individually selected and matched to each sculpture. This makes every set subtly unique in its final presentation.

The sculptures are signed “BPTM 1895” and marked with “Bronze Paris Guarantee” manufacturing stamps, reinforcing their decorative atelier-inspired identity.

This is a highly decorative and collectible matching pair, ideal for creating a refined focal point in elegant interiors. They display beautifully on a fireplace mantel, console table, bookcase, or reception space, bringing both luxury and dramatic decorative flair.

My philosophy is simple: to make premium-quality bronze sculptures accessible to a wider audience. I am able to offer exceptional pieces at highly competitive prices—often significantly below the prices commonly found on the traditional art and décor market. Whether you are an experienced collector, discovering bronze sculpture for the first time, or searching for a distinctive gift, I hope you will find something truly special within my collection. I warmly invite you to participate in my auctions and wish you the very best of luck in your bidding. Thank you for your trust and interest. Michael. Craftsmanship & Casting Technique Each sculpture is individually cast using the traditional lost-wax casting method (cire perdue) and meticulously hand-finished by skilled artisans. This prestigious technique is renowned for capturing exceptional detail, refined textures and the timeless beauty of fine bronze sculpture, ensuring that every piece possesses its own unique character. As a natural consequence of this artisanal casting process, very small residual particles from production may occasionally remain inside the sculpture. This is an inherent characteristic of the traditional manufacturing technique and does not affect the quality, structural integrity, durability or artistic value of the artwork in any way.
