Artur Sudak (born 1965), The Secret, oil painting on canvas, 70 × 70 cm, created in 2026, original edition, with handwritten signature, in mint condition, Poland, sold directly by the artist, includes certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
“Secret” is an exceptionally atmospheric and tense oil painting by Artur Sudak, painted in 2026. The work masterfully fuses elements of magical realism with the aesthetics of dark surrealism, exploring the motif of human curiosity, fear, and the irresistible desire to know what is forbidden and hidden.
At the center of the square canvas rises a powerful, organic structure – a monumental tower reminiscent of the trunk of a gigantic petrified tree or an ancient monolith. The surface of the object is rough, full of cracks and flowing, threadlike forms. In the upper part of the structure, from the dark crevices of matter, the silhouettes of skeletal, dark hands dramatically emerge, as if guarding the secret concealed inside. At the foot of this formidable edifice, along stone steps, walks a solitary wanderer. The figure stops at the threshold of arched gates, from which intense, mystical, gold-pink light pours forth. This contrast between the darkness of the outer shell and the promise of inner radiance perfectly captures the essence of the title “secret.”
Born in 1965. Painter, self-taught artist, graphic designer.
He completed the painting and drawing studies Curso Práctico de Dibujo y Pintura Larousse. He works in many styles, but he is especially fond of realist painting, romanticism, and the classical aesthetic inspired by the tradition of the École des Beaux-Arts.
He has over 2000 paintings to his credit, located mainly in private collections in Poland and abroad.
