Description from the seller
Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born in 1966) is a Marche-born artist whose life has its roots in artisan craft. For forty years he has worked in the shadow of his workshop in a small municipality among the hills of Marche, specializing at the highest levels in resin processing, varnishing, and chrome plating.
The turning point in his life arrives with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and the suspension of time become an emotional catalyst, pushing him to unleash the artistic urgency he has always guarded. What for decades had been "only" a technique of excellence thus becomes the means to give life to modern, vibrant, and ironic pop sculptures. Today Sagrasse has transformed his know-how as a craftsman into a recognized language of contemporary art, proving that it is never too late to give voice to one’s most authentic talent.

Dimensions: 36x22x19
Condition: new.

In recent years his work has earned important public and private recognition, culminating in participation in prestigious exhibitions. Among these are the presence at the Contemporary Art Exhibition "Arte Venezia" in 2025, the collaboration with the VERUM Art and Culture Center, and the inclusion of his works within the renowned Private Collection Fuser. From artisan to signature of the Neo-Pop scene, Sagrasse demonstrates how a lifetime of experience can transform into a pure and recognized artistic expression.
Sagrasse is not merely an artist who uses resin; he is a master craftsman who has freed the technique from the constraint of function, putting it at the service of imagination. His works are colored mirrors in which our society is reflected: pop, brilliant, ironic, and irresistibly modern.
Sagrasse’s work fits perfectly within the trajectory of New Pop Art and Urban Art. While the association with Banksy is evident for its strong satirical charge, irony, and the ability to reinterpret everyday icons or popular culture in a critical key, Sagrasse’s universe closely dialogues with other giants of the international scene such as Jeff Koons, KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Mr. Brainwash, Richard Orlinski
The object is an exclusive Sagrasse creation.
It is a handcrafted work, conceived and made entirely in Italy. The small imperfections that may be found are the natural characteristic of fully manual workmanship.
It is recommended not to expose to heat sources; clean without using detergents, but only with a soft cloth.
