Description from the seller
Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born in 1966) is a Marche-based artist whose life is rooted in skilled craftsmanship. For forty years he worked in the shadows of his workshop in a small town among the hills of Marche, specializing at the highest levels in resin processing, painting, and electroplating.
The turning point of his life comes with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and suspended time become an emotional catalyst, pushing him to unleash the artistic urgency he had always kept inside. What for decades had been merely a technique of excellence thus becomes the means to bring to life modern, vibrant, and ironic pop sculptures. Today Sagrasse has transformed his artisanal know-how into a recognized language of contemporary art, proving that it is never too late to give voice to one’s most authentic talent.

In recent years his work has received important public and private recognitions, culminating in participation in prestigious exhibitions. Among them are the presence at the contemporary art fair “Arte Venezia” in 2025, the collaboration with the Centro d'Arte e Cultura VERUM, and the inclusion of his works within the renowned Private Collection Fuser. From craftsman to signature of the Neo-Pop landscape, Sagrasse proves how a lifetime of experience can be transformed into pure and recognized artistic expression.
Sagrasse is not simply an artist who uses resin; he is a master craftsman who has freed the technique from the constraint of function, putting it at the service of imagination. His works are colorful mirrors in which our society is reflected: pop, brilliant, ironic, and irresistibly modern.
Sagrasse’s work sits perfectly in the path of New Pop Art and Urban Art. While the reference to Banksy is clear for its strong satirical charge, irony, and ability to reinterpret everyday icons or pop culture in a critical light, Sagrasse’s universe closely dialogues with other giants of the international scene such as Jeff Koons, KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Mr. Brainwash, Richard Orlinski.
The object is an exclusive Sagrasse creation.
It is a handcrafted work, conceived and made entirely in Italy. The small imperfections that may be found are the natural feature of fully manual workmanship.
It is recommended not to expose to heat sources; clean without using detergents, but only a soft cloth.
