Time Regained, a unique work by Le Yack, 2023 original edition, a pigment print hand-enhanced with varnish on premium canvas 60 × 40 cm, signed by Le Yack and Atelier Joconde, certificate of authenticity provided, origin France.
Description from the seller
The Montmartre sky blazes with a twilight peach, and in the distance the dome of Sacré-Cœur floats like a pale vision above the sea of rooftops. In profile, the woman in a black dress with a white, gleaming collar and cuffs closes her eyes, chin slightly raised: she does not look at the city, she breathes it. The Belle Époque-inspired costume places the scene in an indeterminate era, between memory and present. The hand resting on the wrought-iron railing barely supports the body, fully surrendered to sensation. Semiotically, the closed eyelids shift the tableau from the register of seeing to feeling: the landscape becomes scent, rumor, memory. The white of the collar — the sole luminous intrusion in the dark dress — draws the eye toward the face like a sanctuary of contemplation. The foreground ironwork, the windows lit here and there, the golden mist: all contribute to making this balcony a threshold between the real city and the inner city.
Unique artwork (1/1) — pigment print entirely hand-enhanced, no other print exists.
Technique: mixed media — pigment ink. Varnish applied by hand, for the depth of blacks and lasting protection of the work.
Support: premium canvas stretched on a wooden frame, ready to hang.
Format: 60 × 40 cm (portrait).
