Description from the seller
Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born in 1966) is a Marche-based artist whose life is rooted in artisanal craftsmanship. For forty years he worked in the shadows of his workshop in a small municipality among the hills of the Marche region, specializing at the highest levels in resin work, painting, and chrome plating.
The turning point in his life comes with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lock-down and the suspension of time become an emotional catalyst, pushing him to unleash the artistic urgency he had always kept inside. What for decades had been “only” a technique of excellence thus becomes the means to give life to modern, vibrant, and ironic pop sculptures. Today Sagrasse has transformed his know-how as a craftsman into a recognized language of contemporary art, proving that it is never too late to give voice to one’s most authentic talent.

In recent years his work has earned important public and private recognitions, culminating in participation in prestigious exhibitions. Among these are notable appearances at the Contemporary Art Exhibition "Arte Venezia" in 2025, collaboration with the VERUM Center of Art and Culture, and the inclusion of his works within the renowned private collection Fuser. From craftsman to signature of the Neo-Pop landscape, Sagrasse demonstrates how a lifetime of experience can be transformed into pure and recognized artistic expression.
Sagrasse is not simply an artist who uses resin; he is a master craftsman who has freed the technique from its functional constraint, putting it at the service of imagination. His works are colorful mirrors in which our society is reflected: pop, brilliant, ironic, and irresistibly modern.
Sagrasse’s work fits perfectly in the lineage of New Pop Art and Urban Art. While the association with Banksy is evident for its strong satirical charge, irony, and ability to reinterpret everyday icons or pop culture in a critical key, Sagrasse’s universe closely dialogues with other giants of the international scene such as Jeff Koons, KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Mr. Brainwash, Richard Orlinski
The object is an exclusive Sagrasse creation.
It is an artisanal work, conceived and produced entirely in Italy. The small imperfections that may be found are the natural characteristic of fully manual workmanship.
It is recommended not to expose to heat sources; clean without using detergents, but only with a soft cloth.
