Sagrasse (1966) - Sweet babel

Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born in 1966) is a Marche-based artist whose life is rooted in artisanal craftsmanship. For forty years he worked in the shadow of his workshop in a small municipality among the hills of the Marche region, specializing at the highest levels in resin processing, painting and chroming.
The turning point of his life arrives with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and the suspension of time transform into an emotional catalyst, pushing him to unleash the artistic urgency he had always kept. What for decades had been "only" an excellent technique thus becomes the means to give life to modern, vibrant and ironic pop sculptures. Today Sagrasse has transformed his know-how into a recognized language of contemporary art, proving that it is never too late to give voice to one’s most authentic talent.
