Brass 1960s space age wall clock by Juwelier Hörl, Augsburg, Germany, fitted with a modern quartz movement and not struck, measuring 22 x 22 x 3 cm and weighing 1.6 kg, in good condition with minor signs of ageing and an infinite movement power reserve.
Description from the seller
A striking and highly unusual 1960s Space Age wall clock, originating from the collection of a specialized Mid-Century and design clock dealer.
This geometric piece was created as a unique, one-of-a-kind design study or presentation model by Juwelier Hörl of Augsburg, Germany, a renowned jeweler and horological retailer known for exclusive clocks and watches during the second half of the 20th century.
Unlike a serially produced commercial clock, this individual piece was created as an experimental design study, making it a truly unique object with no known identical example. Particularly noteworthy is that the clock was originally produced without a movement. I have professionally fitted with a modern, silent and reliable quartz movement, making it fully functional while preserving its original visual character.
As an original one-of-a-kind design study, the piece shows imperfections, surface wear and traces of age and handling. These are consistent with its experimental nature and history and should be considered part of its authentic character. Please examine the photographs carefully for the exact condition.
A rare opportunity to acquire a truly unique piece of 1960s European design history with exceptional decorative and collectible appeal.
Approx. dimensions: 22 x 22 x 3 cm (h x w x d)
Approx. weight: 1.6 kg
