Catalina Anderle - Between the clouds and the ocean - XL

Modern, large-format abstract landscapes are created in my studio from fascination with the transience of the moment, ever-changing lights, colors, moods. They are more than paintings – emotions captured within frames. Subtle, pastel tones dominate, bringing calm and harmony to the interior. Sometimes a color-saturated accent draws the eye. The true magic happens when light reaches it – then the golden details come alive, lending the composition noble elegance and a hint of mystery. It is a painter’s record of awe at the power of nature and the endlessness of space.

Technique: original acrylic on 370 g/m canvas, thick texture. No wooden frame.
Total canvas dimensions approx.: 100 x 140 cm
Dimensions of the painting/recommended size of the wooden loom: approx. 90 x 130 cm.

Due to the size, the canvas will be rolled into a tube and shipped in a thick tube and box.

The painting is varnished, protected from external factors.

Colors of the painting may differ slightly from photos due to individual screen settings and indoor lighting.
The golden reflection effect in photos is achieved by appropriate lighting of the painting.
Photos for comparison were taken in daylight and under lamp lighting with varying light intensities from different sides.

The appearance and reflective effect of the painting on your wall will depend on your lighting.

Important information about my paintings:
Paintings are often created with expressive, strong, and sometimes seemingly careless brush and trowel strokes. Thick texture, paint specks, irregularities, and clear brush marks are not defects but form the foundation of this aesthetic and its greatest value. They emphasize the craft and the physicality of the creative process in an era of ubiquitous, digitally generated smooth images. It is precisely these elements that are the “proof of human presence.”

Damages that occur during transport:
Please check the condition of the parcel upon delivery. If you notice damage to the packaging, file a damage report with the courier. Otherwise there will be no possibility to make a claim with the carrier.

Anderle is a Polish painter, graduate of the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow.
She creates works in oil, acrylic, and mixed media techniques, often with thick paint textures, creating original thematic cycles of paintings full of light and shadow, color play, and mysterious, atmospheric stories.
Her paintings are in private collections around the world, including the United States, Japan, Singapore, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland.
