Description from the seller
A stylish woman, a worldly reception, an inflatable boat and a crocodile. Anachronistic scene emphasizing the elegance and irreverence of these 20th-century “dandy” women, who inspired so many others. The QUAINTRELLES, the antithesis of the dandy, these women whose lives are devoted to passionate expression, to their charm, their personal style, to the pleasures of leisure and culture, steadfast in the pleasures of life, are here represented by nonchalance and charm. The style is the irreverence of this woman. In the middle, alongside Coco Chanel, Audrey Hepburn or Françoise Sagan, the figure in this painting catches our attention and captivates us with its presence, its originality and its charm.
GEIDA is a French artist from the south of France, born in 1982, on the shores of the Côte d’Azur.
Inspired by classical and modern painting, he moves between contemporary works and street art. His creations incorporate emblematic elements of classical and pop culture. His works are characterized by a reinterpretation of major painters, warm colors, expressive and captivating compositions.
GEIDA explores different forms of universes and productions. Some of his works are reproduced in small series on primed canvases, thus creating limited editions accessible to a broader audience.
The artist’s style reflects a combination between classical art and new techniques. With the aim of captivating attention, provoking reflection and sublimating interiors.
