I create my works in an abstract style, exploring line, brushstroke, and blot. From a luminous and vital chromatic palette. Brushstrokes marked by free and spontaneous gesturality, enhance an organic movement. Always taking care of composition and balance in the piece, as if it were a musical composition, with its rhythm, its sonority, its pauses and its nuances. And thus to be able to listen to it with the gaze and feel it from emotion.

About the artist:
SUSU, Susana Soto is a creator of visual and plastic arts. Born in Barcelona in 1972. Elsa? (Note: keep as is) Licenciada en Bellas Artes por la Universidad de Barcelona en 1994. Participated in Vitra’s summer workshop a Boisbuche, France, in cooperation with the Vitra Design Museum and the Centre Georges Pompidou.
She has worked for over 15 years as a graphic designer, art director and as a lecturer in art schools. It is in 2015 when she begins the path of illustration. Since then she works as an illustrator for publishers and the advertising sector.
In 2022 she begins her artistic journey, in Barcelona, in a shared studio with other artists. She works in abstract painting and the portrait of the woman.
Throughout her career she has received several awards and mentions, in both graphic design and illustration. And she has participated in collective art exhibitions in Barcelona.
