This watch is Montblanc's first professional certified diver (ISO 6425), but it is best known for its revolutionary dial. The manufacture managed to reproduce the three-dimensional texture, the veins and the depth of glacial ice (inspired by the Mer de Glace on Mont Blanc) through a complex and ancient artisanal technique called gratté-boisé. The deep emerald green color captures the light, evoking the reflections of alpine lakes surrounded by glaciers.
The technical setup is impeccable. The 41 mm stainless steel case is topped by a unidirectional ceramic bezel in a two-tone green, glossy and scratch-resistant. The watch is water resistant to an impressive 30 ATM (300 meters) and the solid case back boasts a magnificent 3D laser-engraved illustration of a diver and an iceberg.
