The art series “SURGE” captures the dynamics of elemental movements – alive, tangible and expressive. The works thrive on the tension between matte, raw cotton and intensely pulsating, deep acrylic layers. Broad brushstrokes and expressive gestures make the physical energy of the painting process subtly palpable on the picture plane. While powerful, flowing forms dominate the compositions, targeted color accents elsewhere unleash lively, vital impulses. Because the und primed canvas is deliberately left untouched in many places, the pieces breathe and develop a fascinating, tangible depth. It is a harmoniously balanced interplay of dense color structures and minimalist free spaces. The works have a powerful visual presence and enrich any room.
