Description from the seller
"Laridae", 2026. XL. Edition 1/5.
"Laridae", an exceptional piece by contemporary artist Pedro Rey, created in 2026. This sculpture stands out for its elegant verticality and a composition of organic planes that evoke lightness and ascending movement, honoring its mythological name.
Finished in a sophisticated deep blue, the work uses stylized silhouettes and curved forms that intertwine to create a dynamic structure. Its design allows a constant play of light and shadow, turning it into a focal piece that changes depending on the viewing angle.
58x38x38cm.
Created by the Spanish sculptor Pedro Rey (1977), his artistic career began autodidactically in 1998, after attending several workshop programs such as painting, photography, and sculpture; he decided to focus his work on the latter, giving sculpture the main prominence within his work in recent years.
