AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

- Limited edition of the work "Héros sous contrat" by the artist SKE
- Publisher: Atelier MONTMARTRE FineArt
- FineArt print on museum-grade Hahnemühle art paper
- ISO A3 format (42x29.7 cm) easy to frame
- Edition number: 02/10
With “Héros sous contrat,” SKE humorously reworks the imaginary world of our childhood heroes to question their recovery by marketing.

The lone cowboy, a symbol of freedom and carefree spirit, ends up facing a vintage advertisement and a contract stretched by his faithful companion. An absurd, pop scene where the innocence of comic strips meets the codes of advertising, sponsorship, and commodification.

Between nostalgia, irony, and street art, SKE reminds us that even the freest icons sometimes get swept up in the big commercial rodeo.

- ARTIST BIO:
SKE is a self-taught, versatile French artist who grew up in the culture of the 80s/90s, inspiring a large portion of his artistic work.

He constantly explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stencils, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic and expressive compositions, often with double meanings, fuse the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art.

After an exceptional year in 2025, SKE’s market value has risen notably. He won the first prize in the Urban Master contest (2023), then was named Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025).
SKE was selected as Artist of the Month by the Opulence gallery in October, and he also featured in an American art magazine, confirming his international recognition.

His works have already been exhibited in major venues across Europe, the United States, and Asia, consolidating his place on the contemporary art scene. In parallel, SKE has also made a mark in the digital art market, a major trend in recent years, reinforcing the appeal of his creations to collectors.

Icons of popular culture, bold graphics, and textured plays characterize a style that has become essential.

SKE is undoubtedly an artist to follow, to start or enrich a collection with rising-value works.

Artist Rated & Awarded – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art

A UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY
SKE’s work sits within a prestigious lineage. His line conveys the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating the subversion of Banksy or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works build a bridge between eras: they revisit the classics, not hesitating to reinterpret the Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms to confront them with a modern urban aesthetics close to Mr Brainwash or Kaws.

POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA
Drawing on the collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons from our childhood. He stages the Disney universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and the symbolic avarice of Scrooge McDuck. The influence of gaming, comics, and graphic novels is omnipresent: from the Nintendo universe and the legendary Game Boy, to Pokémon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), including Marvel superheroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami.

LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY
In a style sometimes reminiscent of Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The Dollar symbol sits alongside luxury and fashion logos. His paintings capture the “Hype” aesthetic: you’ll encounter sneaker culture (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also incorporates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not to forget mass-consumer icons like Coca-Cola. It’s vibrant art with textured finishes evoking the glazed sheen of Jeff Koons or the facets of Richard Orlinski.

This work is ideal for enriching a collection or adding a dynamic touch to your interior.
