John Milton/Gustave Dore - Il Paradiso Perduto - 1881

Valuable Italian edition of Paradise Lost by John Milton with the 50 beautiful illustrations by Doré, published by Sonzogno in 1881. The work is in excellent condition, half-leather binding with signs of wear at the edges and corners, slight wear to the spine but binding is solid, uniform browning of the paper especially at the beginning and end, lighter in the middle, illustrations in excellent condition, text widely readable. Copy very well preserved for its age.
