Description from the seller
C for Mondrian — The Artphabet
Edition 4/10 — 60 x 60 cm
This work is part of The Artphabet, an artistic project developed by the digital artist Cess, in which each letter of the alphabet pays homage to fundamental figures in the history of art.
In this piece, the letter C is built as a tribute to Piet Mondrian, reinterpreting his iconic visual language based on geometric abstraction. The shape of the letter is composed through a three-dimensional structure of orthogonal volumes, where blocks of primary colors — red, blue and yellow — are combined with black lines and white surfaces, directly evoking the principles of Neoplasticism.
The work translates Mondrian’s two-dimensional universe into three-dimensional space, turning his pictorial language into a contemporary typographic sculpture. The balance between form, color and composition creates a visually harmonious, clean and highly recognizable piece.
It was created through an entirely digital 3D process (CGI), crafted by hand with special attention to proportions, materials and the interaction between planes, achieving a precise and refined aesthetic.
The Artphabet has had notable international impact, being disseminated in numerous design, art and visual culture media, establishing itself as one of the most prominent projects of artistic typography within the recent digital sphere.
Cess is an artist specializing in digital art, CGI and artificial intelligence, with a solid track record in the creative industry, having collaborated with international brands such as Apple, Google, Prada, Vogue and MTV, among others.
The piece is presented in high-quality Giclée print on poly/cotton canvas, guaranteeing excellent reproduction of the detail, color and texture of the original digital work.
