Description from the seller
D for Damien Hirst — The Artphabet
Edition 4 of 10 — 60 x 60 cm
This work is part of The Artphabet, an artistic project developed by digital artist Cess, in which each letter of the alphabet pays homage to key figures of contemporary art.
In this piece, the letter D becomes a tribute to Damien Hirst, reinterpreting his conceptual universe through a clean, clinical, and highly recognizable aesthetic. The letter is presented as a translucent structure containing an aquatic environment inside, directly evoking the artist's iconic vitrines.
The presence of the suspended shark inside the volume recalls one of Hirst’s most emblematic works, translating his artistic language —based on preservation, life, and death— into a contemporary typographic form. The piece achieves a balance between beauty, tension, and contemplation, while maintaining a strong symbolic charge.
Created entirely through a digital 3D process (CGI), the work has been modeled in an artisanal way, paying special attention to materials, lighting, and depth perception, achieving a realistic appearance that reinforces its visual impact.
The Artphabet has enjoyed broad international reach, being featured in numerous design, art and visual culture media, establishing itself as one of the most outstanding artistic typography projects in the recent digital realm.
Cess is an artist specialized in digital art, CGI and artificial intelligence, with an established track record in the creative sector, having collaborated with international brands such as Apple, Google, Prada, Vogue and MTV, among others.
The work is presented in high-quality Giclée print on polycotton canvas, guaranteeing excellent reproduction of the detail, color and texture of the digital original.
