Description from the seller
P for Picasso — The Artphabet
Edition 2/10 — 60 x 60 cm
This work is part of The Artphabet, an artistic project developed by the digital artist Cess, in which each letter of the alphabet pays homage to key figures of modern art and visual culture.
In this piece, the letter P is transformed into a tribute to Pablo Picasso, inspired by one of his most influential works, Les Demoiselles d’Avignon. The typography becomes a pictorial space where the human figure is fragmented and reinterpreted through planes, distortions and multiple perspectives.
The composition integrates a face and a stylized body that evoke the masks and angular forms characteristic of Picasso's proto-Cubist period. The facial features, deliberately deconstructed and asymmetrical, generate a visual tension that breaks with classical representation, proposing a new way of understanding figure and space.
The color palette — ochers, greens, blacks and earthy tones — reinforces the connection with the original work, while visible brushstrokes and painterly textures add an expressive dimension that recalls the artist's manual gesture.
Three-dimensionality introduces a contemporary reading, transferring Picasso's pictorial language to a digital environment where painting gains volume and sculptural presence, blurring the boundaries between image and object.
The work has been created through a completely digital 3D process (CGI), modeled in an artisanal way with special attention to composition, the deformation of forms and the painterly texture, achieving an intense, conceptual and deeply expressive aesthetic.
The Artphabet has had wide international repercussion, being disseminated in numerous design, art and visual culture media, consolidating itself as one of the most prominent projects of artistic typography in the recent digital realm.
Cess is an artist specializing in digital art, CGI and artificial intelligence, with a solid track record in the creative sector, having collaborated with international brands such as Apple, Google, Prada, Vogue and MTV, among others.
The work is presented in high-quality Giclée print on polycotton canvas, ensuring an excellent reproduction of color, texture and the expressive force of the original digital.
