Professional Yamaha Maple Custom Absolute 1997 or 1998 in very good condition
Excellent build quality and finish, air sealed, ‘made in Japan’.
Blue lacquer finish, drums feature the Gold badge.
Built in Yamaha's factory in Hamamatsu, made in 1997/1998.
Barely any damage, not used for public performances, only for small practice and recording sessions, high-quality lacquer and chrome finishes, in blue.
Shell construction
• 100% North American maple shells.
• Yamaha's Air Seal System for very round, consistent shells.
• Relatively thin shells for lots of resonance and projection.
• Precisely machined bearing edges for easy tuning.
Tone
• Warm, full sound with a lot of body, clear attack without sounding harsh.
• Wide tuning range: suitable for jazz, pop, rock, fusion and studio recordings.
• Strong sustain and rich overtones.
Hardware
• Yamaha's YESS (Yamaha Enhanced Sustain System) tom mounting, designed to let the shell resonate freely, very reliable gears and tension rods.
• Professional quality hardware known for its durability.
