Signed, dated and titled by the artist.
Work: 53.5 × 72.5 cm (21.1 × 28.5 in). Framed: 71 × 90 cm (28 × 35.4 in).
Original work by the Catalan artist Ramón Llovet (Barcelona, 1917–1987), titled “Atravesant Espais”.
The composition reflects the personal language developed by Llovet, whose career was linked to the Catalan avant-garde and marked by his interest in poetry, philosophy and spirituality.
Llovet began his artistic studies at age 14 at the Llotja School of Fine Arts in Barcelona and later continued his training at Athenos. He deepened his study of color, materials and painting techniques, complementing his training with studies at the Max Doerner Institute in Munich.
Integrated into the circles of the Catalan avant-garde, he also took an interest in Catalan folk art. From 1958 he regularly exhibited at the prestigious Sala Gaspar in Barcelona, where he presented his work in various exhibitions over the following decades.
