DESCRIPTION OF THE LOT
Splendid and elegant antique jewelry with a ramage/flower-garden design, configured as both a brooch and a pendant (thanks to the integrated bale). The piece stands out for a rich and theatrical arrangement of multicolored natural gemstones skillfully set to form a dense, bright bouquet. The manufacture in a white metal alloy of silver and palladium is structured and pierced, hosting an extraordinary variety of precious stones that give the jewelry timeless vintage charm.
GEMSTONE SPECIFICATIONS
Diamonds: 16 natural round-brilliant diamonds.
8 diamonds of about 0.03 ct each.
8 diamonds of about 0.01 ct each.
Estimated total diamond carat weight: about 0.32 ct.
Natural colored gemstones:
Natural blue sapphires (mixed/round cut).
Natural rubies (mixed/round cut).
Natural emeralds (mixed/round cut).
Additional details: The bouquet is adorned with 2 natural crystals that complete the floral composition.
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Gross total weight: 16.3 grams.
Metal: Noble white metal alloy of silver and palladium. The metal tests negative to standard 18k/9k gold and silver tests; given its density relative to volume and surface chemical reaction, it is palladium alloyed with high-purity silver with an antique finish. (Note: the lot is sold as described by the technical tests performed).
Conditions: Excellent vintage condition, with a light and charming patina of time on the reverse that attests to its authenticity and age. The brooch clasp and pendant bale are perfectly functional.
