Description
Original poster of the exhibition “Ten Years of Antoni Clavé's Scenographic Work (1946-1955)”, organized by the Library and Museum of the Institut del Teatre of the Diputació de Barcelona and held at the Palau Güell (Barcelona) from April to December 1980.
This is an original period poster, printed in 1980 by Graphoffset (Draguignan, France). It is not a modern reproduction.
Antoni Clavé (1913-2005) was one of the most important Catalan artists of the 20th century, internationally recognized for his work as a painter, printmaker, sculptor, and stage designer. This exhibition was dedicated to a particularly significant decade of his scenographic work, produced between 1946 and 1955.
The poster stands out for its attractive artistic design, which combines a central composition with illustrations of the artist’s scenographies, becoming a very interesting piece for collectors of exhibition posters, contemporary art, and Catalan graphic work.
Condition: good overall condition, with slight signs of storage, visible in the photographs. The reverse side is blank.
