Description from the seller
Canvas Panel, torn posters, spray, acrylic, Posca, unframed, 50x40 cm
Unique work straight from the workshop. Protected and fast shipping.
Lasveguix not only paints, he tears, overlays, reconstructs. His creations are skins of walls, fragments of urbanity where posters mingle with graffiti, where acrylic speaks with spray and Posca. Each work is a pulse, a street scar transposed onto canvas.
Initiated into graffiti by his cousin SUOZ, he feeds his visual language from the walls of Paris and London. In his gesture, one can hear the echo of the great names that marked urban and contemporary art: Jacques Villeglé and Raymond Hains for torn poster art, Vhils for sculpted matter, Basquiat for raw energy, Jérôme Mesnager for the silhouette, Miss Tic for the poetry of words, Ernest Pignon-Ernest for urban memory, Jef Aérosol for stencil, Invader for urban pixel, Obey for the engaged icon.
Active on the street art scene for over twenty years, Lasveguix has managed to establish a universe that is both punk and poetic. Since 2022, he transposes this street heritage into the studio, creating works where movement, time, and collective memory freeze without ever fading.
Renowned for his singularity, he regularly participates in charity galas and prestigious auctions — COEUR CENTRAL at Roland Garros, Autour des Williams at the Pavillon Ledoyen, Faire ma part, Nav Solidaire, and SOS Préma. His creations reach record sums there, confirming a unique place in urban and contemporary art.
Lasveguix advocates accessible, free, and vibrant art, where every torn piece tells a story of love and positivity.
