Description
Rubywood is a bold work from the Birch Reflections series and shows a birch forest in an extraordinary color world full of light, depth, and atmosphere.
Between the bright birch trunks, an intense background glows in ruby, purple, and carmine red tones. The warm light seems to emanate from the forest’s interior, lending the landscape an almost dreamlike presence. Golden leaves float between the trunks, providing radiant accents that, with the red color balance, form a harmonious yet powerful unity.
The composition moves between natural depiction and abstract interpretation. The characteristic birches stand out clearly, while light, color, and atmosphere constitute the actual focus of the work. Depending on the viewing angle and the incidence of light, the red and golden color layers reveal ever-new nuances, giving the painting a lively radiance.
The painting is excellent for modern living spaces, elegant reception areas, or stylish interiors where warm colors, light, and a strong atmosphere are valued.
About the artist
Alla Faber lives and works in Hamburg. For several years she has dedicated herself to abstract and contemporary painting, creating large-format works that balance calm and movement, structure and lightness.
Her preferred materials are acrylic paints, texture gels, and metal foils – combined in fine, often multi-layered compositions. Through delicate transitions, harmonious color gradients, and light reflections, her images do not dominate the space but fill it with quiet presence.
Her artistic work follows the concept “So sounds the silence” – a painterly exploration of the moment between sound and silence. In this silence, for Faber there is no emptiness, but a living force: the breathing of light, the whisper of colors, the gentle pulse of the room.
Her works have already been shown in several exhibitions in Hamburg and are today in private collections in Europe, the USA, and the United Arab Emirates.
