Spectacular work of art and religious collectible, bound entirely by hand in textured red calfskin. The cover features a sculptural piece titled "The Passion of Christ" designed by Maestro Elvio Marchionni. The central crucifix and the carved busts of the four evangelists in the corners are forged in a special metal alloy, stamped, plated in 24-carat gold and manually patinated in the workshops of the prestigious Milanese firm GDE Bertoni. The cross is also adorned with 9 natural gemstones inlaid (4 agates, mother-of-pearl and corals). The interior comprises paper of the very highest quality (100% cotton, 140 g and 220 g) produced specifically by the historic Magnani paper mill of Pescia. Includes a theological introduction by Bruno Forte, 20 magnificent color plates printed using lithographic technique and 4 miniature initials exclusive to Marchionni.
