Belle de Jour - Hand signed is a 40 × 60 cm digital artwork from France, edition limited to 20, dated 2026, signed by the artist, in excellent condition, sold directly from the artist.
Description from the seller
Two women sleep, abandoned on a floral medallion sofa, in the swelter of a summer afternoon. One in ivory satin negligee, the other in pale blue teddy, both in black stockings with garters and red heels — elegance undone by the heat. To the left, a 1930s black fan stirs the air under a milky light filtered by the sheer curtains. Semiotically, shared sleep, relaxed bodies, and floral cushions compose an iconography of torpor: the suspended time of a nap, where posture unravels and the Belle Époque décor takes on a drowsy sensuality. The blue-tinged chiaroscuro, the matte textures of the fabrics, and the contrast of dark stockings against fair skin give the scene its fleshy density and its silence.
