Ithaka - Hand signed is a limited edition giclée print on canvas by LeYack, 2026, 60 × 40 cm, signed by the artist, with a certificate of authenticity, dispatched from France and ready to frame.
Description from the seller
Finally the rediscovered Mediterranean: a sea of unmistakable cobalt, a bluish island on the horizon, a white fishing boat with a hull rimmed in dark red, stranded on the pale paving.
In front of the pink façade with gray-green shutters and a door of deep blue, a brunette woman in a midnight-blue robe sits on a panel, leaning, her hand resting on her bare ankle — a gathered figure, almost a modern Tireur d'épine.
Semantically, everything opposes the closed interior (facade, shutters, closed door) and the open sea, and the woman stands precisely at the threshold between the two.
The palette reactivates the anchors of the corpus — sea cobalt saturated, limestone-white of the ground, glazed red of the boat, clear sunlight — in a vibrant impasto that makes the warm stone and the wide expanse breathe.
