A brass and wood armillary sphere dating to circa 1970–1980, mounted on a grooved wooden circular foot, 28 cm high with a width and depth of 18.5 cm, weighing 1.5 kg, in good condition with minor signs of age and small stains.

An exceptionally stylish and richly detailed brass armillary sphere (astronomical ring globe). This unique scientific decorative piece is produced in classic French style and features a stunning engraving on the horizontal horizon ring:
"A PARIS Chez G. Gobille a P. Ache Royalle"
(Referring to the well-known 17th-century French cartographer/engraver G. Gobille, based at the Palais Royal in Paris).
The inner sphere sits loose in the stand and can be removed (as historically accurate for demonstration models).
