AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

This sculpture reflects on the constant tension between order and provocation that defines the human experience. The geometric forms, seemingly stable, are challenged by an inner movement that suggests change and uncertainty.
Color here is not decorative; it is a provocation. It disrupts the cold logic of industrial metal, introducing an emotional dimension that contradicts the rigidity of the form. It is an act of rebellion within a system that seeks control.
The work invites the viewer to question whether the balance surrounding us is truly real, or simply a continuous response to the provocations of the environment.

This unique sculpture continues the evolution of previous works while possessing its own distinct identity. The composition has been enriched with additional elements and a new structural arrangement that creates a different sense of movement, balance, and dynamism.
Compared to earlier pieces, it presents variations in scale and in the arrangement of its components, subtly transforming its overall structure. Each piece is one of a kind and reflects an evolution within the same creative line.

This sculpture marks a new direction in my artistic practice, where brutalist aesthetics meet the expressive energy of Pop Art.
Although the work remains rooted in the honesty of materials and the strength of Brutalism, it introduces a new layer of contemporary visual language: bold, provocative, and emotionally charged. Color is not an addition, but a statement — a transition from the silent to the expressive.
This piece reflects an evolution in my work, moving from monochromatic industrial sculptures toward a more dynamic and emotionally direct artistic vocabulary, where form remains strict while meaning becomes more playful, human, and immediate.

Residencies: I have not participated in artistic residencies.

My work focuses on the creation of unique pieces situated between sculpture and functional object, with an emphasis on materiality, structure, and durability. I create sculptural furniture in concrete and iron, combining function with sculptural form, strongly influenced by Brutalism. My practice explores geometry, structure, and materiality, creating works that investigate balance, repetition, and visual presence within space.

Seller's Story

Wallavibe – D.B is an independent sculptural workshop where brutalism, geometry, and industrial memory are transformed into contemporary functional art. I grew up in an environment where concrete walls were thicker than words, and objects were created not for beauty, but for durability. The images of my childhood — grey housing blocks, massive furniture, rough surfaces, iron, wood, and concrete — left a deep mark on the way I think and create. It was a world where form always followed function, and aesthetics emerged from necessity rather than excess. These memories and experiences became the foundation of my work. The brutalist tables and sculptures I create today are both a direct response to that past and a dialogue with the present. I am inspired by monumentality, weight, exposed structure, and honest materials. I do not try to hide or soften them; instead, I allow them to speak for themselves. My works are an act of resistance against fast consumption. They are not created for temporary trends or seasonal tastes, but for permanence. These are objects that demand presence, time, and a relationship with the person who lives with them. They are made not to be replaced, but to remain — to age together with the space and the individual. Each piece exists at the boundary between furniture and sculpture, between function and silence. They are solid objects — sometimes uncomfortable, sometimes provocative — inviting the viewer to pause and feel the weight, texture, and history of the material. My work explores the relationship between memory, matter, and permanence in an increasingly accelerated world.
