Ramón Vilanova is a Spanish artist born in 1947, whose work is usually linked to urban scenes, landscapes, and costumbrista compositions, executed with expressive brushwork and atmospheric sensitivity.

The work represents a procession scene in a traditional urban setting. In the composition you can see popular architecture with a tower or belfry in the background, sloped-roof houses, and a crowd gathered beside a street or small bridge.
