A black-and-white bird captured from below against an abstract background; The ability to grasp and make the best use of references is a highly artistic skill, and my works aim to focus on creating a new reality: an illusion so real that one feels like reaching out to touch it. In the course of my artistic life I have experimented with different styles and techniques. Currently I prefer works that involve oil painting on acrylic. Mostly the subjects are painted on abstract and very contemporary backgrounds, but I do not disdain incursions into styles such as surrealism or what we might define as “strong realism,” sometimes combined with elements ranging from Pop Art to street art. Aesthetics, visual perception, cultural impact, and a unique narrative play a fundamental role in the creation of my paintings. Unlike the almost mechanical copying of reality that we observe in photorealistic painting, I focus more on creative design, on story and emotions, painting starting from their combination of references. I therefore strive to invite viewers to enter my personal reality.
