Exceptional Large 63cm French Silver-Plated Tray by Galand – Belle Époque Elegance

An impressive and refined French silver-plated serving tray by Galand, dating from the elegant Belle Époque period (circa 1890–1920).

This large-format tray stands out for its harmonious proportions and richly detailed decoration. The border is adorned with finely executed laurel garlands and beaded motifs, symbolising celebration and refinement, while the sculptural handles feature graceful floral ornamentation, adding both elegance and functionality.

The underside bears the marks:

GALAND
maker’s mark (J.G with lighthouse/obelisk motif)
number 50

The beautifully polished surface offers a subtle mirror effect, enhancing its luxurious presence on any table setting.

Condition
In good antique condition with light signs of use such as fine surface scratches, consistent with age. The silver plating remains well preserved. Please consult the photos for a complete impression.
