Zenith pocket watch with a silver case (50 mm), manual winding movement, 15 jewels, movement no. 1970068, period 1900–1949, not in working order, sold as an antique collectible or restoration project.
Description from the seller
Antique Zenith Silver Pocket Watch – 15 Rubis – Grand Prix Paris 1900 – Not Working
Antique Zenith pocket watch with a signed white enamel dial, black Arabic numerals, outer minute track, ornate gold-tone hands, and subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock. The dial is signed “Zenith” beneath 12 o’clock and has a clean, classic early 20th-century appearance.
The watch is housed in a decorative silver case with an engraved shield-shaped cartouche on the back, containing the initials “HB.” The case has fine patterned decoration and attractive antique character. There is visible age-related wear throughout, including tarnish, dark toning, rubbing, scratches, patina, and loss of surface finish around the case edges and pendant. The case remains visually appealing but clearly shows long-term use.
The inner dust cover is richly marked with several decorative medal motifs and inscriptions, including “Grand Prix Paris 1900,” “Médaille d’Or Genève 1896,” “Ancre,” “15 Rubis,” “Leviers Visibles Double Plateau,” “Balancier Compensé,” and “Spiral Breguet.” These markings reflect the movement style and the period marketing language used for higher-quality lever pocket watches.
The movement is signed Zenith and numbered 1970068. It is a mechanical movement with a 15-jewel construction. The movement is visually attractive, with gilt plates, visible jewels, and traditional pocket watch architecture.
The watch is not currently in working order. It is therefore sold strictly as an antique collectible item, display piece, or restoration project. No guarantee is given regarding functionality, accuracy, service history, or future operation.
A collectible antique Zenith pocket watch with a signed dial, signed movement, silver case, decorative inner cover, and strong period presentation. Suitable for collectors of vintage watches, Zenith timepieces, silver pocket watches, or restoration projects.
