Oil on canvas

Description

In this work I have sought to explore intimacy and introspection through a figure that folds in on itself, wrapped in an atmosphere of intense reds and pinks. For me, this posture symbolizes the human need to seek refuge, to pause, and to inhabit that inner space where vulnerability and serenity coexist.

I have aimed for color not to be merely a visual element, but an emotional language. The crimson tones and enveloping forms create an almost dreamlike environment, an extension of feelings and memory, where the body and space merge in a single expression of calm and contemplation.

Beyond figurative representation, this painting arises from my interest in those silent moments when, far from external noise, we reconnect with our own essence. It is an invitation to contemplate the beauty of introspection and the depth that resides in the most intimate gestures.

Alejandro Carballosa, Cuban visual artist and designer residing in Spain, with a career marked by the exploration of strength, emotion, and beauty in the animal and human figure. His work combines technical realism with a contemporary vision, where color, light, and movement acquire a symbolic and expressive language.
Having trained in visual arts and design, he blends the aesthetic sensibility of classical art with modern resources, creating pieces that balance energy and introspection.
His work has been shown in group and solo exhibitions and is part of private collections in Germany and the United States.
