Marco Corridoni, an original unique 2026 work titled FIXED Fontana - reversible - no. 17 / 100, a blue mixed-media piece (30 × 60 cm) signed by hand, produced in Italy and sold directly by the artist, edition 17 of 100.
Description from the seller
FIXED Fontana - reversible - no. 17 /100 (2026)
idro-painting on canvas, leather, metal
30x60cm
UNIQUE and ORIGINAL WORK
Piece number 17 in a numbered series of only 100 editions.
Special edition of the series "Fixed Fontana".
The cut is reversible: it can be opened or closed.
The artist draws inspiration from Lucio Fontana's spatial concepts to rewrite the history of art, through a manipulation of his artistic poetics, suspended between quotation and desecration.
The cuts are re-sewn, symbolically, to shorten space rather than to “open” it.
Expectations are betrayed, almost as a sign of protest against a way of making and selling art that has little or nothing to do with the originality and essence of art itself.
The canvases are prepared in Fontana's manner, and the cuts, strictly made by hand by the artist, echo those of his most celebrated works.
Each cut is fixed with a black canvas on the back, just as documented by Lucio Fontana: this gives stability to the work and an exquisite aesthetic effect.
Work signed on the back
Photographic certification included
Frame available separately.
