Antique Egyptian Silver Decorative Object with Arabic “الله أكبر” (Allah Akbar) Calligraphy
Description
An antique Egyptian silver decorative object, handcrafted and richly decorated with traditional Islamic motifs and finely engraved ornamentation.
The interior prominently features the Arabic inscription “الله أكبر” (Allah Akbar – “God is Greatest”), beautifully hand-engraved and surrounded by elegant vegetal and geometric decoration. This important Islamic inscription enhances both the artistic and cultural significance of the piece.
The object retains its original hinged construction. Several hallmarks are visible on the upper section, together with an additional hallmark on the underside. Due to age and wear, the marks are partially worn and cannot be identified with certainty.
This finely crafted piece reflects the rich tradition of Egyptian Islamic silverwork and represents an attractive collectible for enthusiasts of Islamic art, historic silver craftsmanship, and Middle Eastern decorative objects.
