Description from the seller
Dear enthusiasts,
Here I present a beautiful, race-ready piece of Dutch-Italian cycling history. This Concorde Aquila race bike was hand-built in Italy in the late 1980s / early 1990s in the legendary Ciöcc workshop (Giovanni Pelizzoli).
The frame is constructed from the stiff and indestructible Columbus SP (Cyclex) tubing set. This set was specifically used for larger frames to guarantee maximum power transfer without the frame flexing. The frame size is a perfect 58 (suitable for riders roughly 1.80 m to 1.87 m).
Italian craftsmanship oozes from the frame. It features beautiful cast Cinelli lugs at the head tube, a matching Cinelli satin-chrome fork (steel), and the iconic Concorde engraving in the bottom bracket shell. The original Italian flag also proudly adorns the frame.
Condition & Restoration: The bike has just undergone a full restoration and mechanical overhaul. Everything works truly like new. The original paint and decals are in a stunning, exceptionally well-preserved state with only minimal signs of age.
All brake and gear cables have been renewed.
New chain + cassette
New bar tape and saddle
All bearings have been inspected and lubricated, no creaks, squeaks, or seized parts.
Specifications:
Frame: Concorde Aguila (Built by Ciöcc) – Columbus SP Steel (Size 58)
Fork: Cinelli Satin-Chrome (Manganese steel)
Groupset: Fully Campagnolo Athena (including the splendid 'Monoplaner' brake levers)
Headset bearings: Campagnolo
Cockpit: Cinelli handlebars and 3T stem
Wheelset: Wolber TX hard-anodized rims on exceptionally smooth Sansin hubs
