Description from the seller
Exceptional and very rare Thierry Mugler sunglasses, iconic model "Cosmos", dating from the late 1970s and early 1980s, in the midst of the Space Age design era.
This coveted archival piece of haute couture stands out for its thick, geometric frame made of high-quality acetate with a spectacular iridescent faux pearl/nacre effect. It is complemented by its original yellow/amber lenses, creating the brand’s characteristic avant-garde and architectural contrast.
The condition of the glasses is excellent (vintage condition impeccable), maintaining the shine of the material and the original symmetry of the frame. The engraving with the model name "Cosmos" and the brand’s signature is perfectly visible on the inside of the temples. A protective case is included.
Due to its extreme rarity, its historical value in ready-to-wear fashion, and its excellent condition, this model is a true museum piece highly valued by archivists and international luxury fashion collectors.
The lot is shipped properly protected and insured from Málaga, Spain.
