Get your hands on this serviced vintage Seiko Cronos hand-wound watch from April 1969, featuring a white lightly patinated dial, new scratch-free crystal, new leather strap and 3-month functionality guarantee.
Model History:
The Seiko Cronos is an important model in Seiko’s early post-war wristwatch development. First launched in 1958 by Daini Seikosha, the Cronos was designed as a thinner and more refined alternative to the Seiko Marvel, with improved movement architecture and a cleaner, more modern case profile.
The Cronos line is also historically interesting because its slim manual-wind construction helped form the technical and design foundation for later high-grade Seiko models, including early King Seiko developments from Daini Seikosha. While often understated in appearance, Cronos watches are appreciated by collectors for their elegant proportions, reliable Seikosha hand-wound movements and their role in Seiko’s transition toward more refined dress watches during the 1960s.
This example dates to April 1969 and features a clean white dial with light patina, a stainless steel case and a classic manual-wind Seikosha movement. As no reference number is clearly visible on the watch, it is listed without a specific reference attribution.

The watch is in good vintage condition overall. The white dial has developed light patina, giving the watch an authentic vintage character. The Seiko Cronos logo, minute track and “Diashock” text remain clearly legible, while the applied hour markers and slim hands suit the elegant late-1960s dress-watch design very well.
The gold-tone metal case presents with visible age-related wear, including small scratches, marks and areas of colour wear around the lugs and case edges. No specific gold-plating, gold-filled or base-metal marking is visible on the watch, so the exact case material is not specified. No reference number is clearly visible on the watch, so the watch is listed without a specific reference number.
The crystal has been replaced with a new, scratch-free crystal, giving the dial a clean and clear appearance. The watch is fitted with a new black leather strap.
The Seikosha hand-wound movement has been serviced and is fully functional. The watch is sold with a 3-month functionality guarantee.
I aim to capture the condition of the watch accurately. Please make sure to review the pictures closely before bidding.
