Plaster statue 'Sweet Our Lady of Den Bosch' - Signed 'u. eigendom J.B.'
Plaster statue 'Sweet Our Lady of Den Bosch' (Right): A beautiful, traditionally designed plaster church statue modeled after the Sweet Mother from the Sint-Jan in 's-Hertogenbosch. Mary is depicted in her iconic royal red mantle with gold details, bearing the crowned Christ Child. On the rear side the statue features the rare, engraved atelier inscription "u. eigendom" (exclusive property) and the artist's signature "J.B.", indicating a protected and official model from that period.
Period: The Marian statue dates from the mid-20th century (c. 1930 – 1950).
Origin: Netherlands.
Condition: The Marian statue is in original, well-worn condition and is entirely uncleaned or unpolished. It has an authentic, dusty patina with characteristic signs of aging (small spots of paint wear and light plaster chips at the edges) that emphasize the historical and religious charm of this unique devotional object.
