Beautiful and very heavy vintage vase in the shape of a carp, made of thick transparent pressed glass with a subtle, elegant sea-green glow.

This iconic model was originally designed by the prestigious French crystal factory Baccarat for the Exposition Universelle (World's Fair) in Paris in 1889. This particular piece is a stylish, high-quality vintage reproduction from the 1960s-1970s, probably produced in France or Italy.

The vase is richly decorated with detailed scales and fins. The open mouth of the fish serves as the vase opening, giving it a unique and playful appearance. An absolute eye-catcher.
