Atlantic Precision-Rare Swedish Silver Case pocket watch, reference 20172, dating from 1900–1949, with a manual-winding movement, 50 mm case diameter, and 67 g, in very good condition and in working order.
Description from the seller
Up for sale is a unique Swiss pocket watch from the Atlantic brand, Precision line, dating from the late 1930s and early 1940s. It is in very good condition and fully functional.
Main features and specifications:
Movement (Work): Original, Swiss manual-winding movement with 15 jewels (15 Jewels / 15 Rubis). Class 1a (highest precision). Clean, corrosion-free, equipped with an anchor escapement (Ancre de Precision) and an antimagnetic system (Antimagnetique).
Technical condition: The watch is fully functional and running.
Case: Made of solid 0.800 silver (Swiss state hallmark with capercaillie). The inner protective cover (capon) is signed by the Swiss brand FEBA. All serial numbers on the casebacks are 100% factory-matching.
Unique provenance: The inside of the caseback bears the rare "SILVER BOLIDEN IMPORT" signature, sought after by collectors. This indicates that the silver used for the case came from the renowned Swedish Boliden mines, and the watch itself was intended for the Scandinavian market. Dial and hands: The gold-colored dial is in excellent condition – completely free of cracks and chips. An additional highlight are the gold indices with Arabic numerals. It has a beautiful, original micro-patina (stardust effect) and a separate seconds subdial at 6 o'clock. The mineral crystal has minor, superficial vintage scratches. Finish: The case shows traces of former artificial patination (a dark, deep tan effect). The watch has not been polished or modified recently. It shows normal signs of wear, which add to its authentic, historic character. An excellent investment for Atlantic enthusiasts. This is a private sale, no returns accepted. Photos are an integral part of the listing and reflect the current condition of the watch. Please check out my other listings.
