Digigraphie by Uderzo of Tanguy et Laverdure, edition 12/50, signed by hand, 50 × 40 cm, military-themed contemporary artwork from France.
Description from the seller
Digigraphie of a Tanguy and Laverdure plate created by Yvon Haze and signed by Albert Uderzo
Printed in 50 copies (numbered 12/50)
Dimensions: 50 x 40 cm
A series of digigraphies was produced for a traveling exhibition celebrating the centenary of the helicopter (around 2007-2008, at air shows in Valenciennes, Lens-Bénifontaine and Rennes).
44 plates of Tanguy & Laverdure were selected. They were scanned/retouched by Albert Uderzo's studio himself.
Uderzo personally validated the quality: he said he was as 'blown away' by the result, which faithfully reproduces his original brush-drawn plates.
Some of these Digigraphies have been issued in limited numbered editions signed by Uderzo
The prints were made by Yvon Haze / Fine Art Prod on Epson Somerset Velvet paper. Each copy typically bears a dry stamp 'Digigraphie Fine Art Prod' (or similar) and Uderzo's signature.
Yvon Haze is a French photographer and art printer (born in 1964). He founded the Fine Art Prod studio (in Trucy) specialized in high-end prints for the art market, notably Epson Digigraphie (the official Epson label for limited edition art reproductions, on very high-quality archive paper such as Somerset Velvet).
